I fully understand and acknowledge that outdoor adventure activities — including but not limited to hiking, trail running, bouldering, rock climbing, abseiling, picnicking in remote terrain, and stargazing in elevated or uneven areas — involve inherent risks and hazards. These risks include, without limitation: falls, rock-fall, injury from uneven or slippery surfaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, dehydration, animal encounters, and other unforeseen hazards. I am voluntarily participating in these activities with full knowledge of the risks involved.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in any and all activities operated by MOVA Adventures and YAMU (collectively "the Operators"), I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Operators, their owners, directors, employees, agents, guides, volunteers, and contractors from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may be sustained by me while participating in any activity, or while on or off the premises of the Operators.

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Operators, their owners, directors, employees, agents, guides, volunteers, and contractors from any loss, liability, damage, or costs — including legal fees — that they may incur due to my participation in activities organised or facilitated by MOVA Adventures and YAMU, whether caused by negligence of the Operators or otherwise.

I confirm that I am in good physical health and am medically fit to participate in the activities I have chosen. I accept sole responsibility for evaluating my own fitness level relative to the demands of the activities. I will not participate if I am aware of any medical condition, injury, or impairment that could endanger myself or others. I accept responsibility for carrying sufficient water, appropriate clothing, and footwear for the conditions.

If any participant is under the age of 18 years, their parent or legal guardian must sign this waiver on their behalf and accepts full responsibility for the minor's participation. The parent or guardian affirms that the minor is fit to participate and that they have read and understood all clauses on the minor's behalf.

I agree to follow all rules, guidelines, and safety instructions provided by MOVA Adventures and YAMU staff and guides at all times. I acknowledge that the Operators reserve the right to exclude any participant from an activity at any time if, in their reasonable opinion, the participant's behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others, without refund.

This waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from this waiver or participation in activities shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
